RYCA (Ryan Callanan) is the London artist who made the acid-house smiley into fine art. Born in 1981, he trained in 3D design, model-making, commercial printing and traditional pub-sign painting — craft skills that show in everything he touches, from screenprints to hand-etched glass, gold leaf and resin.
