Stephen Bunting

Stephen D. Bunting is a British artist and illustrator who came to fine art from the comic-book industry, where he worked alongside writers and creative teams before developing his own graphic novel. His portraits recast pop-culture icons — Marilyn, Barack Obama, the Hulk, Iron Man, Obi-Wan Kenobi — with the drama and line of comic art.

He showed at Nu:Blood, the April 2017 group exhibition curated by RYCA in Brighton. The pieces here, including the Evanesco pair (Her and Him, from the Latin for "to vanish"), are held at Amen Brother's Richmond Place gallery on the artist's behalf.
