Jamie Reid
Jamie Reid (1947–2023) made some of the most famous images in British graphic design. As art director for the Sex Pistols he created the ransom-note lettering of Never Mind the Bollocks and the safety-pinned Queen of God Save the Queen — the visual language of punk.
He came out of the radical Suburban Press in Croydon and spent the rest of his life making political, spiritual and anarchic work across print, painting and collage. Original pieces like Peace is Tough carry that lifelong mix of protest and hope.
