D-Face

D*Face (Dean Stockton) is a London artist whose work mixes pop art, comic-book romance and decay — his trademark winged skulls and zombie lovers subvert the glossy optimism of 1950s and 60s graphics. He began putting stickers and paste-ups on London streets in the late 1990s and has since painted large murals around the world.

In 2006 he founded StolenSpace Gallery in east London, one of the most influential galleries for urban contemporary art. His early prints were published by Pictures on Walls and Black Rat Press.
